Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has filed for divorce from Pete Wentz, the father of their 2-year-old son Bronx, after more than two years of marriage.
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, the 26-year-old sister of fellow pop singer Jessica Simpson, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, court documents show. She is seeking joint legal and primary physical custody of Bronx, as well as spousal and child support.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Wentz, the 31-year-old bassist of the rock band Fall Out Boy, have not commented since she filed the papers at a Los Angeles court recently. It is unclear if she will revert to her maiden name.
The two married on May 16, 2008 at her parents' home in Encino, California. Their son was born the following November.
"Dont forget 2 notice-when i look into the lil dudes eyes & smile, the way he loves. i realize @ashsimpsonwentz is a good moma + so much more," Wentz wrote on his Twitter page on Monday, ahead of the divorce filing.
Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson is engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson. This will mark her second marriage as she was was married to singer Nick Lachey between 2002 and 2006.
Johnson, who played for the San Francisco 49ers and then the New Orleans Saints before he was released from his contract in 2008, filed for divorce from his wife Keri in January after five years of marriage and their divorce was finalized in the fall of 2010.
