Golden Camera Award Given to Michael J. Fox

Michael J. Fox was honored by the German show business industry over the weekend, receiving the prestigious Golden Camera award for lifetime achievement, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Danny DeVito, also a Golden Camera recipient, presented Fox with the award.

DeVito lauded Fox for his dedication to the fight against Parkinson's disease, a illness that has afflicted the actor for 20 years.

“It was such a shock to hear he had Parkinson’s,” DeVito said, according to the report. “It would have devastated most people but he took it as a challenge and approached it with the enthusiasm and passion of a great actor.”
